CineCats is a community film showcase that presents the talents of aspiring filmmakers from the Los Gatos area. The event is conducted by and for the Los Gatos community, and features a uniquely creative variety of short films, all of which should be 10 minutes or less in length.
As the economy is shrinking, we know that the impact of visual media is still huge. So at this year’s showcase, please tell your viewers about something “BIG” – your biggest hope, dream, fear, crush, influence … you get the idea! You can choose from a wide spectrum of genres, such as comedy, drama, experimental film, documentary – whatever inspires you.
Each film will be judged by a panel of regional film and video professionals. Films selected by the CineCats Program Committee and the Judges Panel will be awarded special certificates. Then for one afternoon, if you film is selected, will be shown on the BIG SCREEN for the CineCats Film Showcase for the entire Los Gatos community!
So don’t delay – start working on your film project now! And we’ll look forward to seeing YOUR work at the showcase.
This year’s CineCats Film Showcase – “Small Films, Big Ideas” – will be held on Wednesday afternoon, May 20, 2009.
Submissions are due by the end of the day on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Check back often for updates. Now … get out there, and get shooting!
